Charity Gala in Abu Dhabi to Support Treatment of One Million Children around the World
A charity gala will be held today at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi to support the campaign to treat one million needy sick children across the globe.
The event will be held under patronage of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), Supreme Chairperson of the Family Development Foundation (FDF) and Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood.
The campaign comes in line with the directives of H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and realisation of the vision of H.H. General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of the Executive Council, and the initiative of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Western Region to treat one million sick children around the world.
Chief Executive of the Zayed Giving Initiative, Executive Director of Emirates World Mobile Hospital, Emirati Surgeon Dr. Adel Al Shamri, said the campaign focuses on the curative, surgical, training and preventive programmes to provide better medical services to the needy categories worldwide.
